These inexpensive stretchy/ gummy animals are more than enough fun for their price!
I needed an extra little gift to take to some friends’ children, and I picked these up from one of those teaser displays in the supermarket aisle. I had no doubt that the kids would love the lizards, even if they are girls.
This is a pack of 10 lizards. The company also makes snakes and frogs. There are six colors: pink, lime yellow, green, blue, purple, and orange.
They are indicated for age 4 and up due to choking hazard. There is also a little warning that says that they can stain rubber, painted walls, fabrics, wallpaper, or wood surfaces. That is pretty interesting. I don’t recall that this kind of toy ever stained anything that I’ve had.
So I gave these to my two little friends as the “extra” gift to accompany a book. These girls LOVE books. There was no problem with that gift. But let me tell you that these lizards were one of the hits of the weekend. I had no idea how much the girls would love them. They tried to tie their tails together. They stretched the arms to amazing lengths. Despite another warning that says they can break, there were no lizard fatalities over the weekend. They lined them up and stacked them up. They made lizard bouquets. They played house with them and took them to bed.
As for the warnings about staining, these toys were touching all kinds of fabrics and surfaces, and didn’t cause any problems that we noticed.
Given the amount of fun these generated, I wish I had bought the frogs too. Maybe I’ll have to get them and save them for another visit.
