I do a lot of running outdoors and living in the midwest this frequently means getting out in the cold weather to pound out a few miles. Running tights need to fit well, wear well and wash well. Sugoi MidZero tights do all these.
The Sugoi MidZero tights are made from a polyester lycra blend so they wick moisture away from your skin, which is especially important for cold-weather running gear. The waistband is broad making it more comfortable and it has a drawstring on the inside which makes these fit nearly every body type well. There is also a small pocket inside that is great for hiding a key or a couple bucks.
Another feature I like about the Sugoi tights is the elasticized band around the leg opening. Many of the less expensive brands of tights do not have this feature and the bottom of your tights can ride up over the course of a run. Because of this band, Sugoi tights stay put (i.e., no ankle freezes). I generally wear these tights when temperatures are between 15 and 30 degrees F and they are comfortable.
I am 5 feet 7 inches and these tights are long enough to hit just above the top of my shoes. I have owned these for two years and they have gone through several washes and they are as good as new. I usually do not dry these tights in a dryer, but they have occasionally slipped by me and they dried beautifully.
If you have a little money to invest in a good pair of winter running tights, Sugoi MidZero tights are a good bet.
