This is a great color enhancer for blondes. I have blonde hair that I continuously change toners giving off a hue from anywhere of ivory to wheat color. When I get tired of plain blonde, I like to play with toners because they are safe on the hair and distribute an all over even color of different hues. This Sunsilk Color Boost was applied evenly to my hair for ten minutes or so after I washed it. The consistency was smooth and creamy. The directions call that you can skip the conditioner on days you use the Color Boost. It did feel like a creamy conditioner although they sell the conditioner separately. When I got out of the shower and cleared the foggy mist off my mirror, I was shocked and almost scared.
I had streaked of strange color on my hair. I was worried, but it didn't look too bad, just different. As I dried my hair, I was unbelievably happy at the results. I had a hue similar to dandelions or marigolds. There is not a toner that I am aware of that has that kind of hue and I was impressed. The shade was different; it was bold without crying aloud. At the same time, it was subtitle and almost nature. It is amazing that a product can be bold, but natural at the same time. It intrigued me. There must be something in those flowers.
I can't say this product is on my top 10 list of must-have products, but for a quick pick-me-up, it was worth the money and effort.
