Smash Bros. is back on the Nintendo Gamecube, and it's better than ever! The popular 4-player game where the most popular Nintendo characters pound on each other was a...erm, "smash" hit on the Nintendo 64, and everything is much improved this time around.
For one, the character roster is vastly larger compared to the original's 12, with a whopping 24 characters available to unlock and do battle with. Each one has they own special moves, from Link's sword slashing to Kirby's power absorbtion to Ness's psychic attacks.
I'm a big fan of games with plenty of replay value, and even over 5 years later this game continues to provide it. There are characters and courses to unlock, a multitude of trophies to gather, a wide variety of game modes to play, and of course, the abliity for up to four players to battle it out. Really, the game just doesn't get old. The fact that the game still sells as well as it does, even with the system it's on being practically dead, is testament to that.
If you're a fan of fighting games and Nintendo, then it's a no-brainer that you pick this gem of a game up today. Get your skills honed before the new installment comes out in February!
