The Klipsch 5.1 ProMedia Ultra set is a refinement of the original 5.1 ProMedia set. Klipsch has addressed all of the problems that I had with the ProMedia set, including poor volume adjustment and other technical hurdles. They've retuned the subwoofer and made the satellites more aesthetically pleasing. These speakers deliver the quality that you would expect when buying a product edging close to the $400 mark.
The sound quality provided is superb, thanks in part to the 2-way satellites as well as the excellent subwoofer. The command module features an easy to read display and simple, well-designed controls that I have found lacking in competitor's offerings. My only complaint with the ProMedia Ultra is the lack of a wireless remote. However, these speakers aren't well suited for a home theater or console system so the lack of a remote is forgivable.
You get what you pay for when it comes to audio, and the ProMedia Ultra performs as you would expect a $400 system to.
