I've had this jewelry box for many years. I'd say around 5 or 6. I saw this in the clearance section right by the register. I don't remember if I even needed one at that time, but I thought this was so cute and the price was right. I recall it being marked down to only $2.00 or $3.00.
This really helps me store my jewelry. I'm glad I picked this up that day. I currently have 4 jewelry boxes. Each one is a different size and was bought or given to me at different times in my life. This one measures 5.75" at the widest point by 5.25" long.
I was drawn to the tweed fabric on the outside (It's everywhere except the bottom). It reminds me of one of those pastel colored Chanel suit jackets. The fabric on this is soft, not rough at all, and feels very textured. I like the flower applique on there. It has iridescent, opal-y, pink petals made out of sequins. The petals are outlined with red seed beads. The box has a matching white zipper. It still works after all this time. It's pretty easy to open. This box is ideal for a lot of little things like rings, small flexible bracelets, and earrings that are big enough that wouldn't get too lost among everything. It has 4 compartments to store accessories. In the middle is the ring area. You can push your rings into this and they'll stay where you put them. The box also has a small circular mirror. Unfortunately, the lid doesn't stay up on its own. You have to hold it.
