I received a $20 Dale and Thomas gift card as an incentive to re-join Netflix, which I was planning on doing anyway when Blockbuster raised their rates - yet again - so I was more than happy to get something for nothing, so to speak! Once I received my gift card, I jumped on their website at daleandthomaspopcorn.com to see what goodies I had to choose from.

Oh. My. Gosh. I thought I was in heaven, Mr. Dale and Mr. Thomas seemed to be chocolate lovers after my own heart. "Chocolate and Peanut Butter Drizzlecorn", "Twice-as-Nice Chocolate Drizzlecorn", "Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Drizzlecorn". I was drooling already! I decided to go with the six-pack sampler at $28, putting me out just $8 plus shipping - not too bad.

There are three combo sampler packs to choose from if you want to try a bit of everything, or if you already have a favorite flavor, you can select to get all six bags in that single flavor. I had never tried this popcorn, so I knew I wanted to go with a sampler pack. There is a "Best of" sampler pack with customer favorites, a "Chocolate Lovers" sampler pack with all their chocolate varieties, and a "Half Sweet/Half Savory" sample pack that includes some more traditional items such as kettle corn and cheddar corns. I decided that I wanted to go all out and get the Chocolate Lovers pack, since I am, of course, a Chocolate Lover!

The wait time from order placement to arriving on my doorstep was about a week. There was also an option when I placed my order to include a gift message (yea, like I wanted to give my chocolate lover popcorn to anyone else! Ha!!) so you can give some chocolaty love for a birthday, holiday, graduation or other special occasion if you're so inclined.

The presentation of this popcorn was great, all six bags were inside a large red box with the Dale and Thomas logo and wording on front, there were handles built in so that you could easily transport your box if needed. I just had to get mine to the kitchen counter, so the handles weren't really necessary, but I used them anyway. I did notice a warning on the outer box to keep out of heat and direct sunlight, which is always a good thing when chocolate is involved, I was thankful that D & T were so concerned about my chocolate's safety!

Each bag is about a foot long, and is a thick paper/flexible cardboard feeling type of material. You can't really rip the bag open, scissors are a better way to go. The popcorn inside seems to be a mixture of some individual pieces and some that were larger and clumped together - they could be easily broken apart to get a more even distribution of popcorn, but my husband and I like leaving the clusters together since we all know that if you pick a piece and a cluster comes with, you have to take the whole cluster!!

The popcorn was very fresh, and the description of each flavor quite accurately described the goodness found inside. Some were more chocolaty than others ("Chocolate Chunk N'Carmel") and others allowed the salty undertone of the popcorn to shine through ("Twice-as-Nice Chocolate Drizzlecorn"). All are great while watching a movie, or just for a snack. There is more in each package than you'd originally think...my husband and I are both not shy about eating chocolate treats, and there was enough in each bag to satisfy our sweet tooth. That's not to say that we wouldn't have eaten more if we had the opportunity though!

We enjoyed their popcorn so much that our friends will be spoiled this year with Christmas gifts from Dale and Thomas. They offer single flavors at a great price for large orders, from $8 per bag for 24 bags, and of course if we run out of people to give bags to, we will make sure the popcorn finds a great home with us!
