Linen sprays are becoming more and more popular as aromatherapy gains followers. Fragrant Cottage makes a number of different scents, but I selected the Clementine and Honey because I like citrus, and honey products seem healthy and natural. The TJ Maxx price of $4.99 for 16 oz. was great, too, especially when you compare it to high end lines like Molton Brown and Jacqua.
A linen spray should be lightly misted onto sheets and pillow cases shortly before you go to bed, or onto towels before you bathe. You can also spray it onto sheets and towels stored in a linen closet to keep them from getting musty. In theory, it's a great idea. In practice, you need to be careful about the scent you select.
Clementine and Honey is a pleasant, fresh, sweet scent. It doesn't seem to come from real clementines or honey; I should have read the label carefully. Unfortunately, this Fragrant Cottage scent is a little too sweet for my pillow. It smells a lot better than the dogs who sometimes share my bed, but it's just too sweet to be relaxing, at least for me. If you enjoy the scent of sugary orange, you'll love this.
