Cassie Edwards writes many books that revolve around Indians and their beliefs as well as their history. Swift Horse was released in 2005 and well worth the $6.99 to purchase.
This story revolves around the Creek Indians. A white man will open a trading post near the Creek Indians in hopes of trading with them. The man is very honest and he finds that Soft Wind who is a Creek Indian is the perfect woman for him. They are great together and want to marry. There will be problems though to get through.
The trader has a sister who has vowed to hate all Indians because it was a one eyed Indian that killed her parents. His sister is Marsha and she is firmly against her brother marrying an Indian. She will meet Soft Wind's brother and there will be sparks but are the for the best or worst.
Swift Horse who is the chief of the Creek has a best friend and this man only has one eye. Is this the same man who killed Marsha's parents. Swift Horse will have to face many truths before he can find his way to Marsha's arms. These two have a few hurdles themselves to get through before they can start building a relationship.
I have to admit this book was very interesting as there are two love stories going on as well as mysteries that need solved. The book will keep you interested from start to finish. There may come a time when you can not put down this book.
