Take Along Thomas the Train
My son most favorite thing, ever! He has both the nice, bigger wooden Thomas trains and the little die-cast Take along version. First difference: this Thomas is a die cast train. It has a strong little magnet on both the front and back. Second difference: Take along Thomas is 2 ½ inches long, where the wooden Thomas is 3 ½ inches. You would think 1inch isn’t much, but to my son, the size difference means more Thomas and friends in mommy’s purse! Third difference: Price & availability!!! The wooden Thomas is a great toy, we have and love them, I don’t mean anything other, but this is a review for the take-along Thomas and why I love it. I can go to Target or Walmart, and for about five dollars, get my son a new train and be his supermom for that day!
I love this simple and basic toy! No batteries, no parts to lose, no noise (except from my son!) He loves making up adventures with Thomas and can truly spend the entire days playing with Thomas and the other friends from the happy Island of Sodor. He does enjoy watching his Thomas videos, and will act out the show with his trains. For three years now, Thomas has been a mainstay in my house, and I hope he keeps making stops there!
