Celine Dion has an amazing voice, but most of her previous albums have all been very ballad like, very similar, very predictable. So, when I heard she had a new CD coming out, I wasn’t all that enthralled or interested. Then one day I heard her new single on the radio, “Taking Chances.” All of a sudden I was interested. I decided to pick up her CD, and it’s one of the best CD’s I’ve heard in a LONG time. It’s surprisingly upbeat, youthful, and easy to listen to. She does an absolutely stunning remake of the Heart hit, “Alone.” Her voice soars in this song! She also has some songs with a blues-type of feel, something she hasn’t really done before. If Dion’s goal was to attract a broader audience, then this album definitely delivers. I think she will have many hit singles off this CD. If you’ve ever thought she has a great voice, but she’s just too boring for you, then you may want to give this CD a go.
