Two days ago I purchased Tama Iron Cobra Jr. double kick pedals. They are great pedals, even compared to their 'big brother, ' the Iron Cobra. The price of the Jr. is a little more than half of the full-scale Iron Cobra, and they are almost the same pedal, minus a few features (they Jr. only has single chain, while it's counterpart has dual chain drive, and a few adjustability options are removed). As for the overall quality of the pedal, it is extremely sturdy. It is made out of quality materials (majority of it is metal), and comes with two-sided beaters (one felt side, one plastic side). The rebound is a little lacking, but can be fixed in a flash simply by adjusting the springs a bit. It is also very smooth, and the Jr. also allows the user to go at very fast speeds (please keep in mind, this is my first double kick, and I've only had it for two days), allowing you to play speeds around SlipKnoT's "Sulfur" or Dethklok's "Laser Cannon Deth Sentence." Sadly though, this is a horrible pedal if you want to do heel-toe (depends on the size of your feet, I'm a US 11.5, and can't do heel-toe on this pedal), and you'll probably have to go out another few hundred dollars if you want longboards for that. All in all, a great pedal for the price. Don't let the "Jr." in the title scare you away from this, you won't regret buying it.
