The Tanita HD372 Pure Geometry Glass Digital Lithium Scale is an effective electronic scale with a larger than average weight capacity.
This scale is quite pretty and elegantly designed. Because it's mostly clear, it will fit in almost any setting, and because it has a glass surface it's very easy to clean unlike some scales with molded plastic surfaces. It has a large blue backlit LCD with very easy to read numbers. Two batteries are required (and come with it), a lithium ion battery and a 9-Volt battery.
Using the scale is quite easy. Because it's electronic and uses batteries, it is usually in an idle mode. To activate the scale, it must be stepped on once, then stepped off. When the scale reads 0, step on for a few seconds and the weight appears and is locked in for a few seconds (long enough to step off and read it if necessary), then it goes back to idle and turns the display off. I've found the scale to be quite accurate with no erroneous readings, though watch out for supporting yourself against a wall on accident if you have the scale close to one.
The underside of the scale has rubber padding, making it slip resistant. Indeed, I've never had the scale slip, but because the edges of the scale aren't straight down to the floor, if you step on the edge of the scale it will sometimes flip up which can be annoying, but I've never had the scale break or act strangely because of it.
This is a nice, easy to clean, easy to use scale that looks great in the bathroom. I've had mine for several years and it's still working well. I definitely recommend it.
