When we purchased our new home in May, I knew that we would be spending a lot of money at Target buying things for our new home such as bathroom accessories, new dishes, and cleaning supplies. I had been tempted before to apply for the Target Visa Card because I love shopping at Target and had been able to resist; however, this time I could not. I knew that I would save 10% on my first purchase and since I antipated my first purchase being large, I applied in the store and was automatically approved. I didn't have to wait to use my account, I could use it that night.

Since I was saving 10%, I also purchased groceries on my Target trip. That night alone, I saved over $100.00. I also accumalated enough points to receive another 10% coupon in the mail. For every 1000 points, Target sends out a one day shopping pass coupon for 10% off. Target rewards 1 point per dollar spent at Target stores and 1 point for every 2 dollars spent on other purchases. Since the card is a Visa card, it can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. I can also receive a one day shopping pass coupon for 10% off for every 10 prescriptions I charge at the Target Pharmacy. Two great ways to receive 10% coupons!

My interest rate is very competitive, less than 7.5%. However, it is based on credit history, so your interest rate could be different. There is no annual fee, which is really nice! I pay my balances in full every month so I have never paid a penny to have this card, but it has saved my almost $200.00 since May! What a deal.

Payments for the Target Visa card can be paid in store, through the mail, through their website, or through online banking with my bank. Their website is very easy to navigate and I actually have 2 different bank accounts set up to pay from. I can see all my charges, my reward balances, and my school donations. The school donations are a percentage of my purchases that TARGET will donate to the school of my choice.

I love my Target card. The rewards are great, their website is easy to use and I the fact they donate to my daughter's school. The only drawback, it makes me spend more time in Target, therefore making me buy too much!
