As summer has been getting awfully hot here in Australia, i've been wearing more and more shorts, leading to shoes that look good in both long and short pants. As i happened to be in the local department store Target, i managed to pickup some clothes as well as a pair of Target Brand Size 10 men's shoes. As described on the label they have a synthetic lining, synthetic sole, as well as a velvet/other material mix on the outside.

They are designed to look slightly like a skate shoe, without being too high or childish, and when combined with a decent pair of shorts or pants they seem to go nicely. The shoes are nicely padded all inside, making every trip a simple "walk in the park". As seen in the photo, they also have laceups and small amounts of meshing for extra air for the feet (which must help my smelly feet).

Since buying these shoes, i have noticed that they do have a few drawbacks. Being bought in a department store, they are obiviously a mass manufactured item, and several parts of the shoes have blemishes along the joins and one or two small glue marks (practically invisible while on your feet). Other issues i've also noticed is that the material gets dirty very very quickly, and seems to make them look discoloured and worse as time goes on.

Although the shoes have a few issues, i don't buy $29 shoes and expect them to last forever, anything more then 8 - 12months is fine, and at the rate they're going, they will far exceed this period.
