I love blush, but normally I am a powdered blush kind of girl. Just the thought of applying a liquid or cream blush makes me break out.

When I was given Tarte Tickled Cheek Stain, I immediately was repulsed by it. It came in an odd container that is very similar to a push pop candy, and the moment I popped the lid to take a look at what this whole concept was I nearly gagged.

Inside of this black tube I found myself staring at a very greasy, shiny, and oily looking cheek stain. Tarte Tickled Cheek Stain had a nice color, don't get me wrong, but it looked like lip gloss on a stick, and I wasn't sure if applying it would be a good idea.

My skin breaks out easily, but I wanted to go ahead and at least try for the sake of my review.

I rubbed some along the contours of my cheeks, and absolutely hated how it felt going on. Slick, greasy, and nasty! Break out city!

However around 5 minutes later the nasty slick feeling was gone, and my cheeks, they were left with the most natural kiss of blush, and to be honest I was impressed! Very impressed! My cheeks looked natural, not overdone, and my skin was not shiny either.

I continued using Tarte Tickled Cheek Stain (which is a lovely natural pinkish maroon color) for about a month after that and it never once caused a break out, so it's pretty safe to say that those with break out prone skin like mine do not have to worry about this one. Although its not the prettiest looking cheek stain in the world, it sure as heck works like one!
