Wow! With 45 products plus two brushes packed into one make-up palette, what more could a girl ask for? Tarte's Limited Edition We Wish You Wealth Palette seemed to be the answer to cluttered make-up counters, drawers and vanities. All the products you would ever need to create the perfect look for any occasion. All in one easy to use, portable palette. It seemed to be the perfect item. It's not.

I have to say, I am a big fan of the Tarte Cosmetic line. It's a high end line in which I have found many of their products to be superior to their drugstore counterparts. The items are more expensive than other brands, but usually well worth it. This palette is made up of three trays offering a wide variety of products. It contains the following;

16 new eye shadows

16 new lip glosses

4 gel eyeliners

4 cheek stains

3 lip sheers

Eyelid primer

Eye shadow & eyeliner brushes

The eye shadows are soft and easy to blend. I do wish they were more pigmented, as they are on the sheer side. They consist mostly of neutral, easy to wear colors. Lots of browns, taupes, pinks and grays. You won't find any electric blue or neon yellow here.

The glosses are all nice. There is a good variety of shades, but they are all sheer, so you won't get a lot of color payoff with them. They have a smooth, thin consistency, but a little on the greasy side.

There are four gel eyeliners. They are applied using a brush and while it does take a steady hand, they are long lasting and don't smudge easily. They are black, a shimmery brown, a dark eggplant color, and a kelly green shade. I don't see myself ever using the purple or green, but they are nice to have.

The cheek stains are the best part of the palette. They include four of Tarte's best selling shades; Flush (sheer reddish-pink) True Love (sheer red) Tipsy (sheer peach with shimmer) and Blushing Bride (plum-rose). They are a gel formula and are applied by using your fingertips to blend into your skin. They provide a great color that makes your skin glow, and last much longer than your typical powder blush.

The lip sheers are ok. They are heavily pigmented, but none of the colors provided here work with my skin tone.

I found the eyelid primer to be a little dry. The texture seems to be a little crumbly, not very blendable. The luminizer is a white shimmer cream you can blend on your cheeks, forehead, eyes, etc. Anywhere you want to add a little brightness to your skin.

I am impressed with the brushes. They are not the cheap, useless make-up brushes you usually get with palettes. They are both full size, and of very good quality.

Now for the really bad part......The first thing I noticed about this when I opened it was the HORRIBLY STRONG scent of this. It has a chemical type smell that comes from the packaging. I am very sensitive to smells, and this gave me an instant headache. Because the packaging smells so strongly of cheap plastic, it makes the lip products smell and taste like crayon, which is real disappointing. The packaging isn't necessary unpleasant to look at, but it could be nicer. It looks kind of cheap to me, and it IS cheaply made. The three trays containing product swivel out from underneath each other. The problem with that is, because it so heavy, the tray on top will hang down and gouge into the products below when opening, if that makes sense. This had caused my palette to become very messy after just two days after owning it. Also because of how flimsy it is, I don't think this makes a great palette for travel.
