Image for Teen Titans: The Complete First Season on DVD

After the disappointing single-disc releases in cheesy cardboard cases, Warner Brothers decided to go the best route and give us complete season sets of Teen Titans. The first season introduces us to both the good and bad guys, including the main antagonist Slade, who is out to recruit Titans leader Robin as his apprentice. Things come to a head in the 2-part season finale when Robin actually joins up with Slade after his teammates' lives are threatened.

This release does everything right that the previous releases didn't. We get a nice, standard plastic case with both discs housed inside (one in a swing case). All 13 episodes are presented in crystal clear quality. Several of the special features are from previous releases, while some are new. We get to see a behind the scenes look at the voice actors, which I always love, as they talk about their characters and how they play them. We also get a look at the comic book that the show was based off of, a full version of the theme song performed by Puffy Ami Yumi, and a bit more.

This DVD release is great for any Titans fan, collecting 13 episodes and some cool special features together in what is sure to be a smash hit DVD set.
