Ten Thousand Fists is Disturbed's third full length rock album. It is politically charged album that, from the moment you tune into it, draws you into an adrenaline packed, thrill-ride from which there is no escape until the album has ended. Songs such as “Ten Thousand Fists” are designed to open our eyes to the current war and the motivation behind it. This album references the “New Messiah” or savior like the album Believe which is ironic, because in the album an opposition to this savior is clearly there. Ten Thousand Fists also includes a cover version of the classic Genesis song “Land of Confusion”. Many may have thought that this song was perfect as it was, which I have to admit I was one of those people, but this rock metal version of the song is its own. The band Disturbed managed to make it their own by finding a way of inserting David Draiman’s unique guttural voice in free moments of the song. While, I would not say that his vision of the song is better it can stand on its own. This is a definite must buy for any fan of rock or metal.
