Tetris was created by Alexey Pajitnov in June 1985. It was called Tetris because all the shapes are conatining four segments. In the Nintendo entertainment System version, all the shapes come in different colors for easy recognition.
When a line is created, the blocks disappear. You could strategically accumulate blocks to score more points. You could rotate and position blocks to fit each other. The game is lost when the blocks occupy the entire screen. As the levels progress, the speed of the game picks up.
The game itself is extremely addictive. The game is simple yet fun and helps you increase your spatial intelligence with block integration. This is a good pasttime when you have nothing to do or in between activities.
