It may seem funny, but although it was nearly 10 years ago, I remember the day that I bought these seashell shower hooks.
I was kind of down and out about some things at work… actually I had left my job over some major issues and the last place I should have been was shopping… and the last thing I should have been doing was spending $15 on shower hooks, but…. when I spotted them I just knew that they were the extra special touch that I needed to pull together my bathroom décor.
The seashells are made of resin. They have a light golden yellow coloring of varying degrees throughout each shell. The hook themselves are a bronze color, which is really good because I think that the standard silver coloring of most shower hooks would have stood out too much.
Through the years these shower hooks have stood well. They do not tarnish or fade.
Because the hooks are not rings, every once in a while one will pop off the rod, but that is easy enough to fix as they really just sit on it. I use them on the outer curtain (I have a double curtain) that is parted and open like a window curtain, so these do not slide back and forth on the bar. I think that if they were to be used on an inner curtain they would be a problem with falling off the rod. They are really made for decorative purposes only.
I am very happy with them and am glad that I bought them.
