One of the best new diet books out for women right now is "The Abs Diet for Women, " by David Zinczenko. Made famous by his first book "The Abs Diet, " Zinczenko re-released that book and added in quite a few more sections that pertain specifically to women, their bodies, and their fitness.

I purchased this book because I really liked the concept of the diet. It advised there are twelve "super foods" for your body and if you eat mainly those, and keep the rest of your diet restricted to healthy options, you will lose weight. Adding in the exercise program he describes with two days of weight training and 3 days of cardio, you will lose weight even faster. If I remember correctly I think I really liked eleven out of the twelve super foods so it was a really easy diet to follow. Also every week he advises you to have one cheat meal so your body doesn't feel deprived of the sweet and salty food it is so used to and probably loves!

The book also includes a wide variety of recipies, ranging from breakfast, lunch, to dinner. It also includes tons of different recipies for smoothies, one of the major components of the diet. Most of all the recipies sound delicious and definitely do not look or sound like "diet food." Also included are pages and pages of different weight lifting exercises to do along with different exercises for your abs. Guidelines for your three to four recommended cardio workouts is also detailed out as well.

I enjoyed reading this whole book cover to cover very much and was surprised at how much information it contained. It was full of scientific concepts regarding your body and dieting but Zinczenko explained them in a way that could easily be understood, especially if you had never touched a science or biology class outside of high school. I personally have had success following the diet in this book, and it is one of my favorite as of late. I am continuing to follow it and I have lost about 15 pounds now and feel great! So if you want to lose weight the healthy way, and the fit way, definitely check out "The Abs Diet For Women."
