If you are in the market for a booster seat, the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat should be the choice for you! While registering for my baby, I did a lot of research into baby gear. This one seemed to get high marks everywhere and I soon found out why.
Once your child is eating solids and sitting up by his/herself, you will probably start looking into high chairs. But what about when you are not at home? A quick visit to a friend's house or adult coffee shop...where will baby sit? This is the perfect solution! It is small, easy to transport, and easy to clean. When my baby was small, I just kept it in the trunk of my car to have whenever needed.
There are two straps so the chair secures under the seat and behind the back of a chair. Of course, you have to have the right kind and size of chair for it to fit properly and safely. There is a three-point harness strap to keep your child safely in the seat. The tray snaps on and off easily so you can use it with the tray or pull it right up to the table. There are three height adjustments, so it should work in most settings. A nice feature is the cover for the tray which protects and keeps it clean between uses.
Now that she is older and I want space back in the kitchen, this booster seat is a permanent fixture at our kitchen table. I just wipe it down with a sponge after every meal. Now I need to buy a second one for my car as it is easy to forget to take with otherwise. That is my main problem with the chair...that I need a second one! The only other critique I can think of is that the back is not adjustable/reclineable. It does not bother me now but I wish I could have used it truly when my daughter started on solids and was still reclining a little. I still love this booster seat!
