Mister Ed was a talking horse, of course. And he had his own TV show there for a while. This set of two discs contains some of the best episodes of Mister Ed from Seasons One through Four. Alan Young is also featured as Mister Ed's owner, Wilbur Post.
This series was made back in the 1960s. It always amazed me how they could really make it look like Mister Ed was talking. There are 21 episodes in all, in black and white, with a run time of approximately 9 hours and 4 minutes.
There are no special features, but they aren't really needed in this collection. The TV show is very entertaining, and the antics of Mister Ed help to make it even more so. He really was a beautiful horse, and this show actually made Mister Ed look like he was smarter than his owner sometimes.
I happen to have Volume One. I don't know how many volumes there are, but I know they are probably all enjoyable. Mister Ed fans will get a kick out of watching these episodes. It would make a great gift as well.
