I bought this product basically because I was desperate. I've tried many different eye primers/bases and the only one that actually worked was over priced. I saw this at the local walmart one day and decided that I might as well give it a try. It was only $7.49 so I wasn't missing out on much if it didn't work out. And if it did work out I'd have something inexpensive that actually worked!

This product is of a slightly different texture than most primers and bases. It looks like concealer and has the same basic consistency. The tube it comes in has a sponge tip applicator that you can use to apply it - however, I suggest using your finger. Just smear a little on your finger and apply to the eyelid. It's easier and this way you ensure that it's spread on evenly in a very thin layer. I learned the hard way that if it's not spread evenly the shadow will stick more to the areas that have more base! Not a good look.

Anyway, after you apply it (as thinly and evenly as possible! A little goes a long way!) You just wait a few seconds and it dries into this layer of stuff on your lid. It's difficult to explain. You can't smear it unless you use makeup remover or soap and water. It won't smear with a finger tip alone. But it's very comfortable - you don't even feel it at all. It's kind of like having a cream shadow on your lid. Then you just apply the shadow on top. If you've applied the base evenly, the shadow just blends like normal. But it will last forever! It soaks up all the oil on your lids too - which is my major problem.

I actually used this base with shadow when I went to the zoo last summer. It was 89 degrees outside and I was sweating like a you-know-what. The only thing that actually lasted on my face was my eyeshadow - thanks to this base!

One day, I even forgot to remove my eye makeup when I got home. I was so exhausted I went straight to bed and fell asleep. When I woke up the next day, my hair was horrible, I had dark circles under my eyes, and most of my makeup had smeared off on my pillow - but my eyeshadow still looked like I had just applied it.

Now, I can buy the cheaper eyeshadows and not have to worry about whether or not they've disappeared into my crease. And I don't have to wonder whether my liner has smudged so badly that I look like a raccoon.

Also, just so you know, this product has a slight pigment to it. About the shade of medium/light concealer. It shows a little on my very pale skin, if I don't wear shadow over it (sometimes I just wear liner), but it just looks like a very light cream shadow. I can't say for sure how this would look on someone with very dark skin if you don't wear shadow over it.

This stuff is truly a miracle worker. I recommend this to everyone!
