The Big Lebowski follows the story of the worlds greatest slacker: The Dude (Jeff Bridges) and his attempt to save a millionaire's kidnaped wife; Bunny, after a case of mistaken identity puts him in the middle of a complex kidnaping plot. In his way, stands a Russian Techno band, people who Bunny owes money, his inept friends (John Goodman and Steve Buscemi); who only make things worse in an attempt to help, a pornographic film producer, and a number of other interesting and often strange characters. Things quickly spiral out of control and as The Dude gets more involved in the matter he realizes that this may be more than just a simple kidnapping. The Big Lebowski is a classic, must-see film by the Coen Brothers. Released in March of '98 it was nominated for 7 awards and won 1 (the Golden Aries Award) it is considered a Comedy/Crime film and was re-released in 2008 as a 2-Disc 10th Anniversary Edition. It also features amazing performances by Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Turturro, and Julianne Moore. It also has a good soundtrack featuring perforamces by Bob Dylan, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Elvis Costello, Santana, The Eagles, Kenny Rogers and The First Edition, as well as other bands. The Big Lebowski is a must-see film.
