I love my mysteries, and Katherine Hall Page has written a series of them with the heroine, Faith Fairchild. The Body in the Belfry is the first book in this series, which I just got done reading. I have already read a number of the books that came to follow in this series.
Faith Fairchild lives in a small village in Massachusetts with her minister husband and her little son, Ben. She was a very popular caterer in New York City, where she resided previously. She is hoping to start up her business, "Have Faith", in this small town where she now resides.
Faith finds a dead body in the belfry of the church, and that event starts her off on doing some detective work to find the murderer. Another death complicates matters, and Faith is more determined than ever to investigate, despite warnings from her husband and the police not to get too involved.
Since this was Katherine Hall Page's first novel, I can see where her novels to follow have improved. But I still enjoyed reading about Faith and her small family living life in a small town. Faith's adventure is not of small proportions, and this book was enjoyable for me.
