Brak has been an extremely popular character since his "reimagining" with Cartoon Planet back in 1993. Many years later, Brak returned in his own show, aptly titled The Brak Show. The show featured Brak, his "pal" Zorak, and his two eccentric parents as they live through their everyday lives in a space suburb.

This series is quite amusing, though semi-adult with minor swearing and the occasional suggestive themes. The set contains 14 11-minute episodes, seemingly not a particularly good deal for the price tag.

Thankfully, what makes this release worth it is the wide variety of special features. First, we have nearly a half hour of Cartoon Planet segments sure to please any old school Brak fan. Also featured are various clips of Brak Presents the Brak Show Starring Brak, Brak's 2-episode variety show (though it would've been nice if they went ahead and put the episodes on in their entirety). Finally, we have Adult Swim News segments, little shorts hosted by Brak in which he talks about...well, nothing in particular. Those who dislike how Brak appears to be in The Brak Show will likely get a kick out of the old school Brak humor featured in these shorts.

The first volume of The Brak Show is decent enough with 14 amusing episodes, but the real fun is in the special features. Consider the actual series a sort of bonus in addition to the special features, which make the entire release worth every penny.
