"The Brave Little Toaster" is a great story of lifelong friendship that I would recommend for all small children. It has a very youthful appeal so children will outgrow the movie (until they reach adulthood and grow to appreciate it all over again). This movie features an animated toaster, vacuum cleaner, bedside lamp, radio, and electric blanket. They feel abandoned by the owner (a young child who has now grown up and gone to college) so they go off in search of him. It shows children the great courage of pursuing their dreams as these friends head to the city and face many daunting situations. However, they work together (another great lesson - teamwork) to overcome all their fears and find their beloved owner. In a true show of friendship, he's excited to see them and takes them back and loves them (to the despair of his new electronic gadgets). This is a great story of growing up, courage, friendship, teamwork...There are so many lessons in this movie, that I love pulling it out from time to time for my family (and even in my classroom).
