The Chocolate Mouse Trap is another good chocoholic mystery by JoAnna Carl. She has written a bunch of them, and this is number five in the series.
Lee McKinney is business manager for her Aunt Nettie's chocolate shop, TenHuis Chocolade. She is being deluged with inspirational emails from Julie Singletree, who is an event planner and has developed an email list consisting of a number of party food professionals. Lee decides to get off of the email list, tactfully, and then finds out that someone has killed Julie. Well, Lee was tired of Julie's emails, but not enough to kill her! Who did it and why? After Julie's death, a lot of computer problems crop up, happening to different members of the email group, and then attempts are made on several lives. Is this all coincidence, or is it related to Julie's death? Leave it to intrepid Lee to start investigating.
This is another interesting novel in this series of mysteries. Plus, JoAnna Carl gives enticing descriptions of some of the delicious chocolates that are created at TenHuis Chocolade, and she also entertains us with some fun trivia about chocolate.
