My oldest son came home for a visit last weekend and raved all about this movie called The Conjurer. He has always been into horror films and he said this one made him jump out of his seat. So, of course I had to see it for myself. We rented the movie that night and I settled in to watch it. I was amazed how in just the first few minutes this movie grabbed my attention. It has loud, eerie sounds that play at just the right moments. It almost takes me back to the early horror movies like Psycho.

The movie itself does have some really great actors in it also from Andrew Bowen, Maxine Bahns, John Schneider and Tom Nowicki. Each one plays their part perfectly. The one that suprized me the most was John Schneider. I remember him most from the tv show The Dukes Of Hazzard and for him to play his part in this horror flick so perfectly, amazed me.

The story line of the movie moves along very well. From the start it tells the story of a couple, very much in love, that loses a baby and it takes a toll on their marriage. I won't tell you much more, because I do not want to ruin for anyone. I will tell you that this is a real place, the old farm house, that the couple moves to. On the website for the movie there is a link to see the real ghostly encounters that the actors and producer all run into.

This movie for me was perfect. It combined just the right amount of horror and fiction and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I am very impressed with it and will for sure watch it again.
