The other day I came across the Zelda game for the Nintendo 64. This game and the memory card has been around this house (found here and there at times) for about 14 years now. So today we decided to buy the Nintendo 64 console and controller. We were able to purchase one on a classified ad. This console is close to brand new and was still in the box.
Even though times have changed and we do own the more recent game consoles. I still don't under stand why they changed the games to disk? Even after this game being around with no case etc. It still plays! It is not this particular game either. It is the Nintendo 64 itself that made great games/consoles.
The controllers can take a beating too! They are very durable. Which is also a plus. As this console will be placed in our younger children's room. Once dad is done playing the game we found of course.
The games for this system are very cheap these days on any online classified ads. If you have little ones and don't want to spend the money on the newer models. As they don't take the beatings that the Nintendo 64 does. I would highly recommend this console.
