The Crafty Teddy is A Bear Collector's Mystery written by John J. Lamb. In this novel, Brad Lyon is a retired homicide inspector who is living in Virginia with his wife, Ashleigh. Ash makes teddy bears, and both Brad and Ash collect them avidly. Now Brad is even starting to learn to craft bears, that is, when he isn't busy trying to solve a murder.

When one of their valuable bears is stolen from their home, Ash and Brad want to learn what is going on. Things quickly get worse when three Japanese gangsters turn up in this quiet little town and then the director of the local museum turns up dead. Brad may be retired from the force, but when things need investigating, he's the man for the job.

I've read a few books from the Bear Collector's Mystery series, and I really do like John J. Lamb's writing style. His characters are also very interesting. And I love teddy bears, so reading about a husband and wife who collect and craft bears is fun, too. It makes me wish my husband and I could do something like this.

If you like mysteries and enjoy teddy bears, you will get the best of both worlds with this novel.
