I absolutely love books by Betty Neel she really knows about the power of romance, even though she mostly writes over fashioned novels with men been men and women been women.

The book the daughter of the manor is no different it shows a young village girl Lenora engaged to a very pompous man Tony and how she fell in love with the new Village doctor James Galbraith. Lenora was happy to be getting married but it was not until later on she realized that the only reason Tony was so anxious to marry her was because of the huge property that her parents owned in the community the he wanted for his own personal use. She soon called off her engagement to Tony and went to work for the good doctor.

The doctor at this point realized that he was falling in love with her but wanted to take it slow and not scare her off because of wht she had just been through with Tony.

Betty Neels shows how just how a man is supposed to treat a woman with kindness and respect
