Now, I usually don't enjoy many magazines because magzines like US news and Time tend to only print fluff articles that somewhat mirror the administration, and I do like alternate news magazines, but the Econoist is truely the intellectual elite of news publishing.
Every time I pick up this magazine, it has unique and long articles with tons of information about all sorts of topics. I don't notice the crazy little fluff paragraphs that I see in other periodicals, but rather I see all sorts of fantastic articles about the articles that matter.
I'm always astonished when I see it taking a controversial stand that most places shy away from in this day and age, and I'm equally astonished to see the writing quality is not only informative, but entertaining as well.
Brave to the Economist for making me have faith in the written word once again.
