As somebody who has suffered from low self esteem for many years, I was desperate for help. Self help books always seemed "Silly" or "Stupid" to me, so I never considered purchasing one.
After receiving The Everything Self-Esteem Book I was iffy. But I decided to give it a try.
Not even to chapter 5, I felt myself starting to feel better. My "Self critic" got quieter, I was feeling more confident, and my overall happiness was noticeably higher. My family, friends, and boyfriend all commented on how much happier I seemed.
The book comes with activities for you to complete, and though they all seemed simple enough, each one has helped a lot.
After spending years hiding in the house, refusing to go out to dinner and movies, only shopping late at night when the least amount of people would be out, I feel free now that, thanks to this book, I can say sit comfortably in the company of strangers without feeling nervous or anxious. I enjoyed a movie in a theature just days ago, and since reading this book I have enjoyed dinners out to a popular buffet with my boyfriend repeatedly.
I would strongly suggest to everyone, read this book! Do the activities! Feel good about yourself (because you DESERVE to) and be HAPPY in life.
