I've tried my fair share of mascaras - high-end and drugstore. Lately, I've been trying out more drugstore mascaras than anything. I stuck with Neutrogena Healthy Volume for about a month, and thought that I had found the #1 mascara to end them all. While I still love Healthy Volume (and will review it later), I finally tried The Falsies. I was hesitant because I had heard so many mixed reviews from the Youtube beauty community, but my friend told me it was great.
The first time I used it, I was blown away. Love at first swipe. My lashes popped like they never had before. I may need to preface this review by telling you that I like BIG, defined lashes, no matter how many coats it takes. It only took one coat for me to by satisfied with my look for the day. My lashes were dark, voluminous.. and any other words you would use to describe a phenomenal mascara experience. What really sold me was the fact that I no longer have to use an eyelash curler. I typically never rely on the mascara brush to do anything in terms of opening up my eyes, but the spoon-shaped brush worked great.
It's pretty easy to get some clumpage with The Falsies. One even coat should do you fine. If you time it correctly, you may be able to do two, but after that you'll need to allow for some drying time before you mess with your eye makeup any further. A few of the time times I've used it, I've ended up with seriously stuck-together lashes because I blinked too much or tried to start my eyeshadow primer too soon. Also, there is typically some excess on the brush, so make sure you assess that situation before you start applying.
If you want big, dramatic eyelashes for very little cash, it doesn't get much better than The Falsies.
