The Force Unleashed is a video game that takes place between the events of Episodes III and IV of the Star Wars series. You play as Darth Vader's secret apprentice. Darth Vader found a small boy on the homeplanet of the Wookies and trained him to help his bid to overthrow the Emperor and seize control of the galaxy for himself. You play as the apprentice and travel with your pilot, Juno and your droid, Proxy to the different worlds of the Star Wars universe hunting leaders of the rebellion and jedi alike. The game is groundbreaking in that it uses the new Euphoria engine to show off the power of the PS3s graphics and processors. You command the force to pick things up, infuse them with energy, or throw them. Almost everything in the game is able to be destroyed or manipulated in some way. Objects break depending on what they're made of, what you hit them with and where you hit them. The story is incredible, the graphics are amazing, and you can unleash your inner sith with reckless abandon. Since you are not to be discovered, your mandate forces you to leave no witnesses. I have never played a better Star Wars game and have very few complaints about this one. The controls on a few levels are tedious, but these paltry shortcomings pale in comparison to the level of interactivity offered in this game. If you're even a casual Star Wars fan or just a fan of great graphics and gameplay, I'd highly recommend, The Force Unleashed for the PS3.
