My son has had a Razor scooter for a few years now. Last Christmas my mom decided to get him a Fuzion Asphalt for a Christmas gift. Now we live in a Northern state so we haven't been able to really try this out until recently.
My son loves his Fuzion. Since the weather has been decent he has been up and down the street.
The Fuzion is part scooter and part skateboard. I have also heard people compare it to a snowboard, although our family doesn't snowboard so I can't give my opinion on that.
The neat thing about the Fuzion is it has 4 wheels and it has independent front and rear steering. My son is able to make super tight turns with this, more so then with a regular scooter.
The maximum weight limit is 175 pounds, so even some adults can hop on it and give it a whirl.
The recommended age is 7 - 11 years old. My son is 8 and does great on it.
It was very easy to assemble maybe 15 minutes tops.
I think this is a great riding toy for those that want to try a skateboard, but can not quite get it down. The handles are height adjustable.
I think most kids who have a regular scooter down pat should be able to learn how to use the Fuzion fairly quickly. It does ride and turn differently then a regular scooter so I recommended to my son that he started out slow. He picked up the Fuzion in no time and has been lately starting to do some tricks on them.
Good thing he is very good about putting on his helmet before hopping on the Fuzion.
