A business associate of mine gave me this book, recommending it as a quick, inspiring, and very helpful read. The full title of it is, The Go-Giver: A Little Story About A Powerful Business Idea. The authors are Bob Burg and John David Mann.

The title immediately caught my attention. I firmly believe that one of the greatest principles of business success is helping people. This little book states the same, challenging "go-getting" mindset of many business people. It is filled with examples of success achieved by those who had made serving others their first priority.

The book is what is called a business parable. It is written as a fictional story of Joe, a not very successful young salesman who could learn a few things, and an older man willing to teach him those things who becomes his mentor. As Joe learns and changes, the reader learns as well.

I like this book and the principles it is based on. If you want to try yourself in business and want to know what's the best way to go about it, I highly recommend it.
