The Incredibles is a highly enjoyable animated film from the Disney-Pixar studios. It tells the tale of a family with super powers. The male head of the family goes by the supername Mr. Incredible, and has superstrength. The mother goes by the name Elastigirl and is extremely elastic and flexible. Of course, their 3 kids also exhibit super powers, such as being super fast, being able to change colors, and being able to create a force field. When Mr. Incredible is duped into travelling to an island to face off against someone who is bent on destroying superheroes, the family finds out and rushes to his aid.
I think this is a fantastic movie about family bonding. It is also highly enjoyable for all ages. Pixar always does a stellar job and this is no exception. The storyline is direct and easy to follow, but not to simple for adults to enjoy it. There are also other superheroes either shown or mentioned, and I really liked hearing about their different abilities. The characters are all likeable, with the exception of the one we are not supposed to like, and have their individual strengths that they add to the film. Since this movie is about superheroes, there is a fair amount of action, but there is also humor involved as well. I think this is an excellent movie. As far as special features go, there is a making of and sneak previews for future films. This is a great movie and DVD.
