As a fan of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I had been eagerly awaiting the release of Twilight Princess for quite some time. When I finally recieved the game, I was very happy to see that all my expectations had been reached. This game is simply amazing! I'll admit, the best aspect of the game for me is the nostalgia factor. The game simply feels like Ocarina of Time and every time I play it, I feel like a 12 year old again. I think the people who have fond memories of Ocarina of Time will get the most out of this game.
The premise is pretty much the same- save the princess- but there are a lot of new features to Twilight Princess. The most interesting is Link's new ability to turn into a wolf. There are also several new weapons to try out, as well as new clothing that give new abilities. The extensive world map means that there's plenty to explore and many fun characters to meet.
I do have some criticisms of the game. I feel like it could have been either longer or more difficult. I flew through the game and then found myself facing the final boss. The biggest criticism I have is about Princess Zelda. Given that the game and all the other games in the series are named after her, I would have liked to see more of her in the game. Granted, we certainly see more of her than in some of the other games. However, Ocarina of Time gave us a rather interesting take on her character but I won't spoil it here! And despite the fact that the new character Midna is really fun, I do miss Navi.
Overall, I highly recommend Twilight Princess. A combination of engaging characters, exotic locales, and fun enemies makes the game a must have for any Zelda fan!
