The Lost Boys was a classic horror movie from a period where the two Coreys (Haim and Feldman) ruled the indy movie scene with awesome slapstick roles. This is no different, as we are witness to them reuniting on screen for perhaps their most famous roles.
AS far as Vampire movies go, this ranks as one of the average middle of the road movies that doesn't surprise or scare anyone. It takes the "Scream" approach to Vampire movies which has Corey Haim using pop culture references and comic books to teach the young protagonist how to kill the head vampire.
The basic plot has a brother and sister moving into the town from the original and the sister almost immediately being given vampire blood which turns her into a half vampire. Corey Haim is his usual comical self trying to overact his part.
Overall, I would say this movie is rent-worthy because of the subject matter and the decent fight scenes but do not expect an oscar quality movie
