I feel like I am an expert when it comes to things in Las Vegas, NV. Besides the fact that I lived there for about a year, I have vacationed there several times. My husband and I wanted to get married in Las Vegas and we ended up staying at the Luxor while we were in Las Vegas. It was only going to be my second time in Vegas and the only thing I remembered about the Luxor was it was beautiful.

The Luxor Hotel and Casino is located on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. I think this is the best end of the strip to stay on because there are a lot of attractions to see and do. The Luxor is in the shape of a giant pyramid, with an egyptian theme. It is so beautiful, you have to see it to believe it. Check in to the hotel was a breeze. I recommend that you book a room in the pyramid to get the whole experience.

When you stay in the pyramid at the Luxor you have to ride an inclanator to your room. An inclanator is an elevator that not only goes up and down but it does that at an angle. The first time you ride it can be intimidating, but it feels really cool. If you are afraid of heights I would recommend asking for the lowest floor because you may get scared, trust me.

The rooms are really nice and keep with the egyptian theme. Our room faced the back of the hotel and we had a nice view of the pool, which was a lof of fun. The thing I like most about The Luxor Hotel and Casino is that it is so quiet. When you think of a popular hotel and casino you think of a crowded loud smoky room. This is not the case at all in the Luxor, it is the complete opposite.

The shopping is incredible at The Luxor. There are two main shopping areas, one by the casino on the first floor and one by the food court on the second floor. The first time we stayed here we fell in love with the egyptian theme and ended up spending like $600 on egyptian statues to take home and decorate our living room with.

I would highly recommend you stay at The Luxor the next time you are in Las Vegas. It is reasonably priced and a whole lot of fun!
