I was in town for the New York State Fair this past August and stayed at the Maplewood Inn. It was only about a ten minute drive from the fairgrounds. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and the check-in process was fast. There was no problem with me checking in very late. My room was large and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. At first I had a little trouble understanding how to get the cable box to work, but it was pretty easy once I found the instructions. The TV channel selection was excellent, probably the best out of any other hotel I've been to. I almost couldn't decide what to watch first. The bathroom was clean and had amenities from Bath and Body Works (Rainkissed Leaves and Coconut Lime Verbena scents), but the water pressure in the shower was a little low. The only other complaint I really have was that there was no Do Not Disturb sign available for use. I'm not sure though if it was just my room that was missing one or if none of the rooms had them. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much and would probably stay again if I'm ever in the area.
