When I went to the bookstore to look for a gift for my friend to help her get ready for college, the person who worked at the book store suggested The Naked Roommate: And 107 Other Issues You Might Run Into In College as the most requested book for students who will be going away to college for the first time.

I thought the cover of this book was intriguing enough. It shows the bottom half of a pair of shapely male legs. It was nice from a girl's standpoint that the legs belonged to a boy and not a girl.

The Naked Roommate is a really funny book! It was written by Harlan Cohen. I liked that not only does the author give you expert advice on college living, such as things you should and should not do as far as dorms, I loved the funny stories from he collected from other students at over one hundred college campuses.

Even after reading the chapter about the not so pretty side of Residential Life, I really couldn't help but get excited about going to college when reading this book. I like that the author included so much information. You will read about everything from drugs on campus to laundry and cheap eats. With about 400 pages, you should leave for college pretty well prepared. In case you are wondering, the author does mention naked roommates, covering the three forms of roommate nudity with his usual sense of humor.

Reading this book helped me know what to expect and to expect the unexpected. There are no pictures or illustrations. This book does not need any of that. Naked Roommate is a nice size. I liked that it fits into my purse or backpack if I would like to read it on the train or bus.

I found Naked Roommate to be the perfect graduation present for anyone going to college. I liked my friends gift so much I asked for my own copy of Naked Roommate.
