My friend kept talking about this television show so I decided to watch it. It is probably one of the funniest shows I have ever seen! Season 1 is a short season, and only has 6 episodes but they are all hilarious. The whole setting of the office is at the offices of paper company called Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The office has a documentary crew that works at the office and this is what the show is based around. It also features the characters talking to the camera specifically about different things, which is hilarious. (These scenes remind me of the confessional scenes on "The Real World"). The US version of "The Office" is based on a UK show with the same name. Steve Carell stars as Michael Scott, who is the manager of that branch of office. He is hilarious in this show and is not your typical boss. He is always trying to make sure everyone likes him and has very unconventional ways of handling things in the office. You can't help but love him. Rainn Wilson is Dwight Schrute, this character is just funny. He is sort of the dork of the office and is constantly trying to do his job well and always trying to please Michael, no matter what the task is. My favorite character is Jim Halpert who is played by John Krasinski. Jim is such a nice guy but is a slacker in the office. He is always playing tricks on Dwight and messing with him. It is just hilarious. Jim has a crush on the engaged receptionist who is Pam Beesly portrayed by Jenna Fischer. There are so many other characters on this show that make the show hilarious. It is a really good show and I suggest everyone start watching it with Season 1. The DVD also features several deleted scenes which are hilarious also.
