This video really does provide you with an amazing workout. I needed something easy that I could do at home to help tone up my thighs and my behind. After reading reviews of many different videos online, I decided the original Buns of Steel was the one for me.

When I first started to play the tape, I couldn't stop laughing. It is VERY dated, but once you get past the bad music, eighties legwarmers (even on the men) the headbands and pastel leotards, the tape is very easy to follow. The cast of characters kept me highly amused. The instructor Greg Smithey is always talking to you. He is very encouraging and is always smiling. It's a great motivator to keep you moving.

This tape provides about an hour of different exercises that target the hips, buns and thighs. It starts off with some basic stretching exercises and then goes straight to the workout. And what a workout it is! The beginner will not be able to make it all the way through the video. By the time I had to stop, my legs and behind felt like they were on fire! I was amazed as I kept watching the others on the video continue on while I was whimpering in pain. I definitely felt it the next day as well.

Determined not to give up, I started using this religiously every other day. Within about a week I could make it through the whole video without crying. What a great feeling it was! You definitely know it is working when you feel the burn, and I saw visible results within a couple of weeks. It has slimmed my thighs a bit, tightened my behind, and even reduced the appearance of some cellulite. I still use this a couple of times a week, and while it has gotten easier, I can still *feel* it working. Anyone looking for an EFFECTIVE lower body workout should check this video out! I just wish it were available on DVD.
