The Soloist is a movie that starred Jamie Fox and Robert Downey Jr and this was based on a true story. Robert Downey Jr played a reporter, Steve Lopez, who had a column and worked for the Los Angeles Times. Steve Lopez was looking for a story for a column and one day he was driving by and found his story. Jamie Fox played Nathaniel A. Ayers, who was a brillant musican who develops mental problems and becomes homeless. Steve Lopez befriends him and starts his story about Nathaniel's life and what happened to him. He gets enveloped into Nathaniel's life and tries to get him help. Nathaniel is very intelligent but has many issues. Eventually, Steve is able to help Nathaniel and get him the help that he needs. There is many ups and downs, but everthing works out in the end.
This movie was pretty good, not great, but a movie that does grip you and keeps you wanting to watch more. I was interested in the movie, but it was a movie that you could stop and go do something else, then come back later to finish. The story was interesting and entertaining, a bit boring at times, but it was a movie that told the plight of the homeless and the true story about Nathaniel Ayers
