This Awesome Greatest Hits album is one of my very most favorites. It is a great collection of Steve Miller Band top songs.

Right away, we get the song that makes everyone want to dance. ‘Swingtown' plays some nice electric guitar down with some speedy bass back up, and what sounds like an organ. I could have a simple keyboard crossed with an organ though. It sounds cool with the ocean roaring at the end.

‘Jungle Love' is a big hit that went well in the 70's era of summer lovin' songs. It is a favorite of mine that sounds pretty bad ass.

‘TakeThe Money And Run' was a very popular hit that was about a couple of kids that took a risk, and ended up killing a man. Youth had its tragedies, even back in the 70's, and many tragedies were the subject of hit songs such as this one.

‘Rock'N Me' is the fourth song on this Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits 1974-1978 classic. This song is one of my personal favorites. I love the way this one rocks me. Keep on a rock n' me baby, Keep on a rock n' me baby, keep on a rock n'. Aside from awesome lyrics, I love how this one riles up the spirit. A true masterpiece, indeed.

‘Serenade' is a good lick as well. It is one of a slower nature. It is a good one, and found its place here where it belongs.

‘True Fine Love', is a moonlight walk, with good memories, and good times. My Girl of 25 years, yep, this is about her. I love good music that knocks my socks off. (We had 5 kids)

‘The Stake', is another hit that I enjoy. I sort of get that Nazareth feel from this one. "No body loves you like the way I do", can be heard screaming from the guitar. This is a hit that has its own style.

The most popular Steve Miller song is up next. I really dig this one. ‘The Joker' is a "midnight toker" kind of song, about love, high times, and the flower days. The guitar can even whistle.

‘Fly Like An Eagle', has to be just as popular as the last I would suppose. I can't decide my favorite of these two. I feel this one, and it is a time slippin' into the future favorite. This spiritual hit holds to the band, like a mascot.

‘Threshold', is futuristic, then slams you hard with ‘Jet Airliner. I love this one ( the pair) just like the others. I am so confused. Which is the best? I can't tell any more. I love this whole damn album. Ok, this one is the best! ‘Jet Airliner' takes the #1 spot from them all! What a segway!

‘Dance, Dance, Dance' has a close grip on those top three that are #1. I love the way that this band mixes the drums with progressive guitar. This hit has many good memories attached to it. It starts out all redneck and such." Dance, dance, dance, all night long". I love the pickin' in this one.

‘Winter Time', and the waves crashing in like a blizzard blowing through your mind. This harmonica laced music legend, is what makes The Steve Miller Band unforgettable. This is another song chasing their best.

Last on this Greatest Hits collectors item, is ‘Wild Mountain Honey'. This has to be the perfect song to end the collection with. A mystical mix of instruments and a slow catalyst burning slow, igniting into a magic song of yester-year.

Steve Miller Band Greatest hits 1974-1978, is a must have for that advanced collection. It is 100%, one of the best!
